Traditionally used for Pu-erh production, our Gold Needle tea is made from Pure Assamica, a varietal known for its deep, complex flavor. Harvested in early March from the Ning’er area by a small village cooperative, this tea showcases the raw potential of the Assamica plant in black tea form.
The leaves and buds are covered in downy hairs, and their copper-gold color is a result of the withering process. The flavor is rich and sweet, with a slight mineral astringency that creates a balanced profile.
